With just 3 ingredients, this recipe clearly isn’t about what you add to a dish, the focus is how you cook it! Spreading vegetables like broccoli or green beans on a sheet pan and baking them at a high temperature maximizes flavor and is as simple as it gets.
- 2 heads of broccoli (with stems)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 425F (218C).
Peel broccoli stems. Thinly slice stems and break apart florets into bite size pieces. Put on a parchment lined baking sheet and toss with oil and salt. Bake for 20 minutes, rotating the sheet pan halfway through. The edges should be browned and crispy.
